Friday Flash Fiction 30th.March

A little poem for the G-Man, and this sad lassie.

Seven Days

“Just for a week,” you said. “Just for one week,
no more.” But ‘Message received’ is never
now from you; no ‘Hi Pet’ on my mailer
makes my thoughts quicken, makes me smile.
So many bleak miles and seas I endure
apart.  Who would have thought seven days
could last for ever. Or break a heart?

  2. Unless he's in Antarctica, or has no cell phone, there's no excuse good enough.

  3. Seven days is a lifetime when your heart is broken. Heck. One hour makes you want to die!

  4. I love the way you had a totally different take on the image. Seven days is a lifetime when they come back, 7x worse when they don't.

  5. Doc . . if I wasn't in the middle of a break-up myself, I'd say "This would bring a tear to a glass eye." As it is . . .

WV's turned off. Glad to see this is catching on. I don't want my readers to work for nothing for folk whose OCR software doesn't work properly.
